The Construction & Engineering team offer three distinct services.
Contract Formation
No two projects are always the same. Contracts need to properly identify the scope, price and timescale for work to be undertaken.
We work with our clients to ensure that they enter into contracts which are appropriate for the project.
We also work with Contractors and Sub-Contractors to ensure that they have Terms & Conditions which are up to date and easily understood by all parties operating under them.
Project Management
All parties to construction projects start out with the best intentions. But for a myriad of reasons projects run aground. We work with Project Teams to identify issues as they arise and address such issues rather than let them become an issue when it comes to agreeing the Final Account.
We have successfully advised on residential and commercial developments, in particular with respect to managing requests for extensions of time and identifying the consequences of variations, including chairing monthly project meetings.
Dispute Resolution
Our focus is on understanding clients’ expectations and identifying the correct procedures to reach an early and cost-effective resolution of the issues in dispute. .We are experienced in representing Claimants and Defendants.
We are familiar with the following procedures:
